ABBA Staff
ABBA instructors are trained in sport specific knowledge
as well as non-sport specific areas including sports psychology,
sports physiology, sports medicine, teaching techniques,
learning styles, CPR, and First Aid.
All ABBA instructors are tested and certified
by the highest standards and registered with the USA Karate
Federation (USAKF), as well as the Ministry of Education
of China. Their rank is recognized by all legitimate organizations
in the world.
ABBA instructors also emphasize teaching through
positive reinforcement, guaranteeing that the experience
at ABBA will be enjoyable and fun for you and your family.
Meet Our Staff
Terry L. Bryan, Kyoshi
Master Instructor
A
Black Belt and Master of the martial arts who has earned
an undergraduate degree in social work and child psychology,
a MA in Education and a Ph.D. in Sports
Administration, Terry Bryan
has developed martial arts and self-protection programs
for a number of schools, military commands, and police departments
around the United States. Master Bryan is one of only a
handful of people in the entire country to have earned a
master teachers level in both a Chinese and Japanese martial art.
As former General Secretary fro the National Governing
Body for Karate for the US Olympic Committee, he now spend
his time working with senior instructors that run their
own programs in his martial arts business systems and
management programs.
Recognized
as a "Kyoshi" or Master Instructor by the Royal Family of
Japan through the Butokukai. Click

Kyoshi Jessie Clay
Kyoshi Clay is senior director for the
American Black Belt Association and the former senior
hand-to-hand combat instructor for the US Navy Seals. He
currently over seas the ABBA west school located at Garden
of the Gods and Centennial Blvd.

at the ABBA North located on York Road -
one block west of Academy Blvd. and one
block south of Woodman in Colorado Springs.

A
two time national champion, Sensei Lee
is an assistant instructor at the ABBA
north location located on York Road in
Colorado Springs.
Sensei Lynda Henry
Sensei Henry works with Terry Bryan in
his Warriorwiz Coaching Program and
teaches the TAe Kwon Do and Kick Fit
Program at the York location on York
road.
Shihan Robin Hack
Sensei Hack is a 5th
degree black belt and is chief instructor for the Chinese
Kempo program at the American Black Belt Academy. Earning
a black belt in Taekwondo first, Sensei Hack has over 25
years experience.

Hacker earned his first black belt in Korea and switched
to karate to train at the American Black Belt Academy and
currently is our senior instructor in Hawaii.

successful school in Colorado Springs on
the East side with over 300 students.

school teacher and retired Air Force officer, Sensei Soland
runs a club at Horrace Mann Middle School.

Derek Blanton
Sensei
Blanton trained in Florida for years before making his home
in Colorado and training with ABBA. Sensei Blanton currently
runs his own club on the west side and helps run the ABBA
high school program at Coronado High School.
