Yellow Belt Self Defense #4

Double Wrist Grab From The Rear

Double Wrist Grab From The Rear - Bring Right Hand up in Back, Right Foot Steps in Front, Turn Counter Clockwise, Re-grab, Arm Bar

When attacked from the rear with a double wrist grab it is important to get out of the direct line of attack from your opponent as soon as possible. By stepping across and in front of your left foot with your right, this allows you to change directions and even throw your opponent off balance. After you step across, turn counter clockwise while at the same time lift your right hand up behind your back and try to use your left elbow to knock your opponent grip off of your right wrist. As you continue your turn circle your left hand over his left in order to reverse the grab; you now have him. Following on through, take your right palm to his left elbow and use an arm bar to control your opponent. It helps to step back with your left foot while executing the arm bar.
